Gas Like Smell In Bedroom. Each day starts off with no smell or slight gassy smell and by mid-morning the smell gets pungent and progressively stronger until late night. Ill be buying natural gas detectors for my bedroom and the affected area but Im not sure what else I can do.
The boiler service was fine a clean bill of health and Ive removed the carpet but I can still smell the same smell. I noticed a strange Garlic like smell coming in the basement and one room above it and the powder room. If this is the case people can replace the wax ring which will fix the sewer gas smell in the house.
When diagnosing sewer gas smells we often find that floor drains are the culprit.
The top reason people say they notice a skunk odor in their house is a sewer gas leak. Often times the rubber water seals have dried out cracked or otherwise deteriorated and are no longer keeping the sewage smell at bay. When possible remove new pressed-wood furniture and carpeting from its packaging and let it air out in your garage for at least an hour and preferably overnight before bringing it into your home. There is a bathroom next door to the bedroom but no smell in there.
